GNU GRUB
Multiboot boot loader derived from GRUB (GRand Unified Bootloader). The first software program that runs when the computer starts, it's responsible for loading and transferring control to the operating system kernel software, which initializes the rest of the operating system.It is compliant with the Multiboot Specification, and is compatible for booting Free BSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, and GNU/Linux. Proprietary OS's such as Windows 98, Windows NT, and OS/2 are supported in a chain-loading function.
